Just a quick update we are here at Hungary Budapest on a campsite
In the heart of town
We first travelled to luxenbourg from Calais for a couple if nites
Parking free on the river front, we moved on to Germany where we stayed for another couple of nites on stelleplatz , moving on to Czech republic (Prague)
However because we are over 3.5 ton we had to get a go box which cost us £80 to cross through there country and the motorway was a nightmare very very bumpy nearly rattled the van in pieces disgrace and then £62 deposit for the box which is refundable on return, make sure you stop before the Hungary boarder and hand it in are you will miss it and loose your deposit
Prague however is expensive and the people are very ignorant and rude won't rush back there but the town is loverly
We then set of to Hungary Budapest where are now loverly place
People very friendly and cheap
The campsite (ASCII) is ok bit cramped but for free wifi and proper washing
Machines @ 16 euros and the closeness to city is excellent
That's all for now till next post

Hi Brian and Lisa,

Glad your enjoying yourself.

I can only say the following. I have no idea of the roads in Serbia but 2 years ago spent 400 miles in Romania from Bucherest up to the Dracular castle and around.

Whilst there it became apparant that the roads were not finished. I had to stop the mini coach on numerous occasions to drive around massive holes in the road and I mean massive. These were not little minor roads but bonefide A roads and Motorway Type roads.

Couldn't say if the whole place was the same but Bucherest as well was yet to be finished. I will head there in 10 years when its done.

BTW,
can you fly Brian back? I think his best mate's missing him. Well grumpy at the weekend I tell ya. He promoted his first reserve Lawson to best mate, but Lawson done a terrible job, CLS was in bed by 10 every night. I tried to get meself promoted to best mate but he was having none of it mate, wouldn't even let me rob his burgers....

Worst case of love sickness ive ever seen.

Lmao Paul what can I say :ROFLMAO: well we went though Serbia stayed at night near the capital roads were ok however the police & customs were a little intimidating however we got through ok, next stop was Bulgaria we ended up going though the middle of Sofia centre on a Friday at rush hour :Eeek: stayed at Sakar Hills camping for week english family run site very nice indeed.

We then headed into northern Greece alexandroupoli camping, right on the beech and €15 a night including wifi we stayed here a week, then heading for turkey we stayed a night at kum camping hotel then made our way to canakkale for the crossing to Asia turkey at a cost of 43TL it took about 30 minutes from there we drove to Burhaniye to a campsite Atin camping in Oren again right on the beech lovely family run campsite we stayed here 3 weeks :thumb: that good @ £14.60 sterling a nite.

We traveled further south stayed a night at caravan camping Bergama small site inland with a swimming pool and washing machine but @ 40 TL a night we moved on next day past Izmir to Hippo camping large campsite with very good facilities on the beech camping and wifi for £13.50 a night if you stay longer that a week :thumb: you can use the 4* hotel next door for a really good buffet & entertainement for £8.50 per person :thumb: so we here for 2 week

You must qualify as Number One FUNster with this trip.

Half of FUN is routinely being pulled on to thick mud to watch the rain with the same old faces and you just take off and see new and exciting things. Like Sun.

I salute you Sir.

Enjoy

Hi Monsi
We have just returned from Turkey and had a wonderful time.
If you want to go somewhere out of this world go to cappadocia can't explain the place so google it
Stay in Goreme plenty of camp sites we stayed at Goreme camping and water park.
Nice pool with slides good fun very quite site ,only on a Sunday they let locals in to the pool and play music quite loud, but it's all over by 4pm and the site returns to its normal quite self.
Murat and his family look after their guests so well nothing is too much trouble even ran me to the dentist .
As I said look it up .we enjoyed Pammukale and many more places of interest. On a somber note the war graves in Gallipoli were very moving.
Enjoy your trip Turkey is a great country.
Regards June and dave
