I would be interested to know what three, possibly unusual, but essential items funsters would not go travelling without and why. Am soon to head off on my first trip in my newly acquired van and don't want to take everything but the kitchen sink but also don't want to think,"If only I'd brought such and such with me."

I always carry a spare regulator, they are renowned for kicking you in the teeth.

I always make sure I never forget Nikki, she gets well pissed when I do.

screwdriver's and fuses because it don't matter how new your van is, you can never have enough tools to fix that noisy something.

A map of where we are going, not a satnav but a real life paper thing :thumb:

weird. I always fill mine from one of them, in to a nice big container, that i then wheel over on my little trolley to get my electic pump out and fill the van with water. or I carry a big 20 litre container across to my van/

Or being a crafty begger, I always find someone that has a shed load of hose connectors that loans me them in a bid to show me how organised they are :winky:

The paper map is a very good point. I am over-reliant on my Tomtom and hadn't thought of that. Now the regulator:whatthe:,oh dear,oh dear.I don't know what it is or where it is and I'm beginning to wish I hadn't asked as I was in a blissful state of ignorance.:cry:I was thinking some nice cuddly granny would come up with some essential domestic items like a sewing kit or some other item I understood.

Please try and be more helpful :ROFLMAO:
Yes I must be more serious. How about a couple of cans of RedBall, if your eyelids are getting heavy then one of these will get you safely to your destination.:thumb:

I had an old Lotus once (lots of trouble usually serious) and the three essentials before going anywhere in it were:

1. Mobile phone
2. AA card
3. Credit card

Good luck on your trip and do not worry too much as to whether or not you have got everything you need.

We all carry stuff we don't need and wish we had stuff we do need. At the end of the day, unless you are going out into the bundu, you are unlikely to have a disaster because of a problem and will find that over time everything will start to come together.
