Hi

We are looking to tour around Northern Spain and was wondering if anybody could give us some advice regarding the area around LLanes, Asturias.

Has anybody stayed on the site Camping Las Conchas S.L near LLanes
orCampsite La Isla-Picos de Europa, Ctra Potes-Fuente?

And does anybody know of a good site near Bilbao for 2-3 days?

Camping Zarautz is a nice site between San Sebastian and Bilbao. On top of a cliff with panoramic views of the town and bay below.

We stayed at Campsite La Isla-Picos de Europa, in Potes. stayed there 2 days We liked it a lot, it's an ACSI site. We got 8 km up the road to ride to the top in the cablecar at Fuente De (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial_tramway) - very impressive, and good walk on top but very windy. Great restaurant in Potes - had mountain stew. From there we went to Castrojeriz, west of Burgos, great ACSI campsite & hosts with shop & restaurant, and laundry service. Castrojeriz is on the Camino de Santiago de Compostella.

Super area, can't help with Llanes, we didn't stay long as it was full of roadworks - we stayed in Comillas, nearer to Bilbao which was lovely - overlooking the sea, own little beach, nice little town, with super Gaudi building (look up El Capricho) and the best dinner we had all hols at Filipinas - portions are huge make sure you are hungry!.

Hope this helps
