Some will recall that our trip to Marjal was mainly to visit the Jerez MotoGP testing. So we left Marjal, with regret leaving the FUNsters but not a whole lot about leaving the featureless location even if the site is top spec and the price was Right.
We stopped in the middle of Granada in tired old site with cool showers costing €30 a night ( 3 x the Marjal deal ). Granada was worth a look, we've done The Alhambra twice but never the city, a regional capital heaving in the Sat sunshine, what recession ?
Then a free night in a field by the racetrack and on Monday, the sound of Moto3. Instead of the gnat like buzz of the 125 engine the growl of the new 250 replacement, plus the scream of the Moto3 bikes practising together.
Now sat on our pitch at Las Dunas in El Puerto de Santa Maria. Another gem from the ACSI DVD. Right opposite a golden beach and miles of good cycle track.
Watch this space for a report on the new 1000cc MotoGP machines later in the week.
