Has anyone used or had experience of any companies that claim to repair formica worktops?

Hi Dave,
Worktops are often better replaced than fixed.
Is it in the van or at home?
If it's the van it's not that big on a Rapido, may be easy to do yourself.

I had the same problem. I live on the Wirral and there is a company in Chester, called Laminate Solutions. They came out made a near perfect repair, and charged £40, can't recall their number but if you look them up and give them a ring they may be able to point you in the direction of someone near to you who does this work. I have seen their repairs on other vans and they are good. Just found the number for you 01244 301575, hope this helps, i now realise you dont'live that far from Chester. Let me know how you go on.

When we had our kitchen done we were given a repair kit (wickes). Haven't used it so don't know if its any good. They are specific to a particular worktop (coloured)

When I dropped something on my table in my last MH it made a hole into the hollow inside, so a bit beyond patching.:Sad:

Ive seen repairs to holes done well using car body filler and then coloured with the laminate compound by colourfill. When done well they are pretty much invisible.

To match grain effect use a pice of plasticine to take a mould of an undamaged section then press onto filler whilst still soft

Laminate floor shops may stock close colour match
