since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
As I've just found out it varies a lot depending on what YOU need.
Insurance is no problem, I can get fully comp european for abot £200, but the breakdown is a minefield.
Rac (Arrival) has no prob with age/weight/pets but recovery after an accident is a no no.
ADAC is no prob with age/weight/ accident recovery, but it seems they only do pets if the driver is dead or too ill to drive?
Lifesure is cheep insurance & recovery is no prob with weight/ accident etc. but NO pets.
So it looks like Caravan Guard at the moment, I'm waiting for them to send me the "small print".
Good luck & let me know if I'm missing something.

Worth mentioning that RAC Arival you have to be C&CC members so another 35/40 quid for that :whatthe: ADAC only costs £72/3 for full recovery and repatriation flights if too ill to drive -AA provide the cover for them in UK

We,ve just changed to Suregaurd, its a bit expensive but it comes with AA cover and comes via a recommendation from another motorhomer, who had a lot of touble last year and they, Suregaurd, came up trumps.

Pleasantly surprised...

..how cheap running costs for motorhome are, after the initial purchase shock. Insurance £230 with Comfort. Britannia Rescue cover motorhomes up to 8m. Cover for three vehicles, inc continental for the motorhome, is £120 all-in.

Thanks to everyone for the input and the results are as follows.

C&CC joined
CC joined
Insurance with Saga (yes we are of that age:Sad:)
ADAC joined (Barbara was very helpful)

Now just have to hose down the credit card as it is a bit hot:Sad:

We were meant to pick up the motorhome today but has been delayed because the towbar has not yet been fitted:Doh:
Another few days yet

Caravanguard put me at £631 this year. That is with 3 drivers covered, only me with one SP30, and they couldn't offer better. I've just gone with Campton Insurance for £331 for 3 drivers, recovery and a low excess. ::bigsmile:
