Can anyone help me get this part please...flap for the electric inlet on our swift voyager mh, we have tried to get one direct from swift but they cannot supply a grey one only a beige flap.

The salesman at the dealer shop who tried ordering one suggested spraying the beige flap but I do'nt want to do that so can anyone suggest where I may get one or know someone who can plastic weld it?

I have tried superglue but that didn't hold it for more than a day.

ps...you can see the flap in question on our avatar, before it broke.

You will probably get one from a Swift dealer, but it will have to be complete with whole socket unit and it will probably cost about £60, if your lucky.

Swift quoted £39 for the whole thing but that would mean wiring the whole thing again, why can they supply a beige flap but not a grey one I ask.
They say sorry but no can do a grey flap, words fail me!!!

£4.95 for the beige flap:Confused:

Agree 100% with the crazy motor cyclist though we would use Grey paint

It`s a no brainer really, easy option quicker and cheaper...
Go for it.:thumb:

thing is if you go to any paint shop with the motorhome they will be able to match the colour then it wont look out of place.

To have it plastic welded it would need filling painting afterwards, if you still want it done I know a man that can in llansamlet Swansea, not sure what part of wales you are?

Buy the beige one take the grey one to Halfords and ask them to colour match it.

Buy the beige one and cover it with grey vinyl you can get from a vehicle lettering place.

I found this tip on a motorcycle forum some years back.

Hold the broken parts together on the exterior with tape - gaffer is good.

Score the interior side to provide a 'key' for the plastic you're going to melt along the break.

Then melt a Lego brick along the break. This can be done with a soldering iron, or a small gas-powered blowtorch. Small amounts added gradually is better than great big blobs all in one go.

Best of luck should you decide to try this method.
