Hi, we are looking for an Aire, or Asci site in Northern Spain.

We always stop at an aire in Uzerche on the way down and then motor through to Santa Suzanna, but we are going to Benicassim in Spain for a month, before moving on to the Marjal rally.

We thought about staying at an aire near Perpignan, but that would leave a good 9 hour drive the following day, which is too far. So, does anyone know of an Aire in Northern Spain?

Any help appreciated.

Is Blanes too near or even too far?

There are 2 or 3 campsites about 1 km south of Blanes town right behind the beach.

We were there about 10 years ago in December or January and it wasn't busy at all as it's probably too far north?

We intended to stay overnight (on our way to Morocco) but stayed 4 or 5 days as it appealed to us a lot.

Easy train access to Barcelona, promenade right along the beach and into the town, relaxed atmosphere in the town with enough to interest you including a largish fishing fleet.

Hi Ginny
A small aire at Els Muntels on the Ebro delta is a very quiet spot by a school. A little drive from your main route but I thought well worth it. It's in All the Aires of Spain & Portugal from Vicarious Books.
Brian mentioned the other in between Peniscola & Benecarlo by a large hotel. A charge is made for this one but it is worth it and buses going to both Peniscola and Benicarlo. Peniscola is one of my favourite places along that coast.

In August we travelled to Spain and on our way down stopped in Torreblanca ( also known as Torrenostra).
It's a small seaside town with just a promenade road and a road that runs behind. Only holiday flats etc..
This is a resort town but at this time of year should not be at all busy.
There is a large car park at the end of town and we stayed on this. No amenities obviously and would suggest you don't park next to the beach promenade as this seems to be the area that the youngsters congregate late at night.
On our way home we stopped at Blanes - a parking area adjacent to the beach 41.64697 N 2.76595 E. There were a couple of vans parked overnight here.
Had great difficulty finding aires in Spain.

Hi Keith and Jean,

Lovely to hear from you again! Are you in Spain at the moment, and will you be going to Marjal??
