try the worlds dustbin...EBAY....search 'flat hose'

usually hundreds for sale.

main problem with flat hose is you have to unroll the full hose and ensure there are no kinks along the whole length.

there are some which roll flat but have 3 smaller hoses (side by side) moulded as one which will work part unrolled.

And another one, area of a circle is pi * r * r so by making r very small, even if 3 or 4 of them means the flow will be quite restricted.

pi * 6 * 6 = 113 sq mm 37mm circumference

pi * 3 * 3 * 4 = 28 sq mm 75 mm circumference

So not only 4 times less area there is double the wall length adding drag.

We have a couple of the cheap 12mm flat ones, not used much but work a treat.

We've had a flat hose wound on a cassette in the van for two years.... just in case. It hasn't been out of the box yet! We also have various other shorter lengths of garden hose and even a 5-metre push-on-the-tap food-grade pipe too.

Surprisingly, the thing we've used most for topping up the tank when out and about is a plastic watering can! Saw other people recommending them and thought that's a load of nonsense for filling 120 litre tank. And indeed, it probably is. But it's so convenient for topping-up whenever near a handy fresh water tap. Spent three and a half weeks in France in the summer and didn't use any of the hosepipes on board, just the watering can.

Flat Hose

Thanks for that. Have a hard round hose which is difficult so thought I would invest in a flat one to save space, but may reconsider now. ::bigsmile:
