Not long enough!
Like a lot of folk on here I am now the proud owner of a Kindle wifi, had alook at the proper kindle leather cover in tescos today and although its very nice looking the price of £31 and some reviews on Amazon have put me off.

So can anyone recommend a nice leather cover that isn't too bulky??:thumb::thumb:

I've looked at the covers in shops and on eBay a few times and been put off by the bulk. As I do leather work from time to time I just made myself a slip case from an off-cut. Adds virtually nothing to the bulk and keeps the Kindle clean.

Hi Graham
And Ill bet it didn't cost £31:Smile: Thats the thing about the Amazon one it doesn't seem too bulky but at a third of the price of the kindle Ill give it a miss.

I was rash and bought the 'official' cover. Its very good actually and the light is useful. Expensive though but when I bought mine ages ago there was no alternative available.

Well done Graham...

I was looking for a new cash cow...

How about you make a hundred Kindle Covers with "MotorHomeFun" on them... I will buy them from you for £1 each and move them on for a £5...

OK?

Seriously though... I bought an "official" leather cover which I am very pleased with although it does add bulk and a little weight...

BUT...

if I were to buy a cover today, I would get one with the built in reading light. I didn't get one of these because I am hopeless with batteries and I didn't realise that the reading light in the cover is powered by the Kindle itself...

My thoughts at the time too...!

...then I blew that amount (and some) down the pub and wished I had the cover with a light in it rather than a hangover...:winky:

It's really good as it is a stand so can balance it on a chair or table or even my tummy if I'm laying on the sunbed! Not bulky at all.

The cover with the reading light is superb, costs almost as much as a new Kindle, but its well designed and works very well, i had to buy two as Sian is a kindle user as well. :Eeek:

Looks really good but I don't think it would suit the £89 Kindle as this is for the touch screen, with no access to the page turning buttons.

What a brilliant idea, can't wait to get started. I've looked up the postage and they will only be £25 each to Portugal. I'll start work as soon as the cheque for £2600 clears :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hi Jim
Even if I can afford it, I just can not bring myself to buy something that's so obviously over priced no matter how well its made, I guess I just don't have class:winky:
