Hello again funsters,
We have replaced our stolen/burnt out Talbot Express with a converted ambulance. It came with a Thetford PortaPotti and also 2 containers of Blue Diamond toilet fluid, (one with and one without formaldehyde), but I'm not sure whether this is for the bottom (waste) tank or flushing reservoir. The labels are a bit faded and even with my glasses on my old eyes are struggling...
If it is just for the poo tank is it o.k. to use Thetford's pink stuff in the flushing water? Do they mix o.k.?

Also does anyone know where we can get 185/15 tyres on a 15" rim for twin-wheeled Transit 190, 1997.

Thanks for any help.

Hiya peeps..
The pink bottles are for the stuff that goes in the flush reservoir, and the blue in the cassette

And yes, they mix just fine

I always used the blue diamond fluid (much cheaper than Thetford) until I discovered that Tesco/Sainsbury Bio wash liquid does the job even cheaper.
The blue diamond is for the toilet tank, not the flush.
You could use the Thetford pink fluid in the flush water if you like but in my experience it does very little apart from colouring the water and has a slight scent.

Don't use anything just empty regularly, once a day if possible every other if not, only lasts 3 days before it is full and has not been a problem.:winky:

Thanks guys. I was just hoping to use what we've got rather than have to buy any more, so it looks as if that's o.k. as we already have the pink stuff too.

Now ... wheels anybody??

Don't use anything, just empty everyday. Why waste all that money. And, the blue stuff stinks more than the poo, well my poo anyway::bigsmile:

are you sure they are 185/15/15 and not 185/55/15

No, because the aspect ratio will be 100%, therefore no need for aspect percentages. So a 185 width tyre in a 15 inch wheel size.

I've already done all the local scrappies, local paper and e-Bay - the nearest was a 4 hour drive away (no delivery) at £50!

try preloved, gumtree, and yellow pages for commercial vehicle breakers rather than a normal scrappy
