Another one... Spain shunns the carrying of "Alcohol" in the passenger/driver part of a vehicle... In other words leave booze in boot.

I'd like to reiterate Rogers comments and views and though I'm as envious as hell I do wish you the most pleasant and uneventful trip, except of course for nice events..:thumb:

If travelling in Portugal it is wise to carry Fray Bentos Pies (Steak and Ale variety).

If the locals seem a bit restless you can calm them down by leaving them outside your van as peace offerings...

how about not wearing shoes at all? I assume the problem with backless is that they can get caught under the pedals and understand that, but no shoes at all?

Good question...

I actually wear slip on`s... and had crossed my mind if I got pulled to whip them off and sling them in the back..

But I think you are right in the getting jammed under the pedals or feet slipping out. :thumb:

Just one or two things Mo
the speed limits have been reduced in Spain to 110km on motorways so no bombing along at 120km you will get a fine of anything up to a €100. If caught at speed of 130 - 151km its a €300 fine, as you know fines are on the spot, if you dont have the cash they will take you to a cash machine but they wont take you back to your vehicle

all shopping/items of any description should be placed in the boot they are getting stricter on that one as well.

Another one is your sat nav, it should not be pointed at the driver if its the tomtom type window sucker (that is classed as distraction) point it more at your passenger but so you can still see it

you are not allowed to drive barefoot either, best sort is canvas type or Jesus sandle type shoe with heel strap

if your outfit length is 13mtrs or more you do need the orange plates with red border that denote long vehicle on the rearmost part of your outfit - so whats your length Mo with your trailer on - they will measure/pace it out and fine you without the plates

Speed limit in Spain is back up to 120km/h now. It only lasted about 4-5 months as no one too any notice of it. The government said it saved us all a lot of money but in reality it cost us Spanish tax payers a fortune in having all the signs stickered and then the stickers removed again!

Snow chains if there is a likely hood of snow... Perhaps some one who regularly travels to Ski slopes can clarify... (Haganap, Paul).. :thumb:
