Received an email yesterday from company called Filmon.com. Clicked onto it & it seemed to be about downloading TV & films to mobiles/computers.

http://www.filmon.com/tv/htmlmain/#BBC-1

Was about to delete it when noticed it said free TV to computer. Tried it thinking now way will it work here in Costa Blanca...............works fine so far.

You obviously need a fairly good wifi/broadband signal to stop it locking up but Mrs Jinks is well chuffed now she can watch "Enders" :thumb:

I think its dreadful watching free movies at sites such as this one http://www.movie2k.to/ where you click the stream2k to watch the movie as it steams or download it being careful not to sign up to anything and closing all the adverts.
You would never catch me watching free movies that are in the cinema at the moment at the http://www.movie2k.to/ site.....
I prefer to watch them at the cinema at a cost of 20 to 30 quid after coke (cost of drugs these days is rediculous) and a hot dog. Instead of attaching an hmdi lead to the tele from the computer and watching at your leisure over and over again whilst havin a ciggy and drinkin beer...pphhfff no not me..im a good boy I stick to the rules.
(seriously not a site for young people as apart from the normal up to date now showing films, one click and you are up to your neck in porn....still we all ahve to take the rough with the smooth as they say....guys?? guys are you still there guys????

another interesting gadget I have just discovered (possibly old hat to some:Doh:) is called a sling box. This plugs into your satellite receiver at home and can be 'driven' by you anywhere in the world with your computer! so your home receiver becomes mobile(just need wifi connection):thumb:. I do not have one but was given a demo the other day ....he even used his phone to view!

You have to join but it is free anyway.

But can that be watched when out of UK. I might be wrong as things change so fast but I thought like other UK broadband TV you could only watch that if you had a UK ISP which you lose when on wifi abroad.

Not if you get a decent proxy server as I mentioned at the weekend in a thread started by Gerry Hughes...

I was watching tv channels like this on the computer from a website about a year ago.....suddenly it stopped.

I assumed the legal boys had fired a broadside across the bows of the internet site.
It died shortly after..I hope this one has better luck.

Sorry but turned out to be duff info. It now wont let us watch without a monthly/annual subscription. 15 euros per month

I have now turned to a proxy server co. http://speedytv.co.uk/
I tried the 24 hr trial and was good so have now paid £6 for 30 days. Works with all TV players & live TV (not Sky)

Hi Garry
I was looking at your post which is very interesting, It gave me a short free trial period then wanted me to register which I started to do then noticed a subscription tag, I press it to reveal a pricing charge of £149.00 per year or £14.95 per month so at this stage didn't take it any further, I will try it down in Spain next year, did you pay has in your post it said free TV ?. Pete

OOP'S I posted to soon lol just seen your last post
