Hi all
Got a Winnebago journey. I usually lock and unlock my lockers from inside switch which opens them all. Tonight its all dead so tried locking them with key, can only lock and unlock one on key. Its like there all stuck in open position. Have checked switch and fuses under hood all ok. Fuses are the ones that pop out if somethings wrong but all pushed in. Please any info would be apreciated as dont want to leave them open.

that's the problem with 'central' locking....the locks never get used with a key so will corrode inside.

try squirting WD40 in the locks and leave a few days then try working them gently

Easy,
Pappajohn had an electrical fault on his RV slide outs first time out at Newark.
It was fixed thus:
4 blokes with a beer each gave it a good coat of talking about whilst PPJ lay under the RV farting about with a screwdriver, shorting across many solenoids in turn.
He found the right one.
Problem solved, but the other 4 blokes and the beer are essential.
Hope this is of use.

Correction.......Pappajohn had a serious case of 'dont know what the f*&^ i'm doing but these four guys swigging beer dont know F*&^ all either, so i feel better about not knowing' :roflmto:

as it happens, it was a broken wire which took the best part of a year to find and fix :Eeek:

now things work but not as they were designed to

have you looked up under the dash....the fuse block under the 'bonnet' will be the original chassis fuses.

i have a smallish block under the 'bonnet' for lights, horn, ECU, ABS, auto box control, wiper motor etc and a large one, maybe 25 fuses, under the dash for things like radio, battery isolater relay fuses, genny relay fuses, hydraulic jack/slide motor switch fuses, LPG control fuses, step motor fuse etc loads of 'em

with yanks they put fuses all over the place so trace wires back to fuse box from the locks
if you still have problem contact DUNCAN on the RVOC site www.starspangledspanner.co.uk:thumb:

All sorted. The problem is the solinoid motor thingy that seizies. Lucky mine seized in open. To sort take off cover on locker door and disconect each solinoid motor then you can use key. Thanks for all your help guys. I was ready to resort to beer idea. :thumb:
