Re my recent Saga insurance posting notice it seems only them so far that give unlimited

Knowing an older RV windscreen cost £5000 and seeing my new vans is huge worries me and point me towards saga.........

Plus just a flat tinted RV side window on my old RV cost over a grand.........

Is yours a high enough limit to cover your windscreen?

Unlimited with NFU.

I checked before accepting the policy.

Cheers

Jock.

P.S. John, I thought you were going to be in touch,

started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
It may be worth undertaking further research,up to a few years ago Hymer and models associated with them used commercial screens. For instance my '93 B544 used a Mercedes 504 van screen installed upside down, still cost £1500.

Nice van John :thumb: I could have built an ambulance conversion for you, that way it's only about 200 quid tops for a screen ::bigsmile:

This shower http://www.frankpickles.co.uk/ quoted me £300 for windscreen cover.

They just couldn't get it into their heads, that although it was Fiat based, the body conversion was nothing remotely like that of a Fiat van cab body and windscreen.
When I advised them of the price quoted by Peter Hambilton (Britain's best independent Hymer engineer), they were astounded. I have to assume that their premiums are based on C class MHs, and don't take into account the large number of A Class MHs.

Regards,

Jock.

Noticed my car policy limits their liability to only £95 if its replaced using a non approved installer (such as abroad). Fortunately I only use it for day trips.
