heard something about truckers spraying some chemical on the tyres to help grip but cant remember what it was though meths i think in a garden spray bottle.
apparently it does something to the rubber and makes it more grippy wouldnt use it too often.

Liquid snow chains?

Aren't they made out of leftover chocolate fireguards?

when we had all the snow last year,we had a bulker come into one of our sites to take a bulk load of waste away, and he sprayed this stuff on his drive wheels and got in and out no problem, the snow was compacted, and other driver's were sliding all over the place, but this artic had no problem, and we were all well impressed:thumb:
but i think its only for emergency use,to give you a bit more grip in slippy ice conditions, but it seemed to work:thumb:

so where do you get it from?

I know a person that can just use this that lives ona hilly road not far from us in Kent... would make her life so much easier to get to work (doctors).. so if you can put a link up I would consider buying her a tin for christmas.

This has been available for years under a variety of names, and I do carry a can. It does improve grip on packed snow or ice, but under most circumstances, i.e. patchy ice or snow, it wears off after a few miles.
I don't think you would get away with using it in place of snow chains though, handy for emergency use though.
