Hi all,

Where (other than at a motorhome show) can I buy a mini windbreak from?

The one I mean is the short one (2-3 ft tall I think) that are very long with lots of poles. Pegged down along the edge og the motorhome to act as a draught excluder in the awning (instead of an awning skirt)

Hope you know what I mean and can help ::bigsmile:

That's the stuff ::bigsmile:

I've sent him a message as his details are a little scant. And collection only :RollEyes:

I want a very long one so does anyone know who it is that sells them new at the shows? Or online?

Thanks

(PS, I'm in a hurry ::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:)

Im sure there is a very good reason why you cant cut long ones in half but I cant think of it at the Mo:Doh:
You only need a chop saw and a big pencil sharpener :RollEyes:

I want ones with metal ends, so cutting them wont help.

err we bought metal end cone tips and rubber top covers from a stall at a show for our windbreak poles - so they are out there somewhere

Bet yer glad you aint still got the Ultra Sport:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Too right - especially as I was going aroud the OTHER sides - not the one in the awning.

Ultrasport would have cost approx. £300 to do :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have seen people use a bog standard windbreak cut lengthways and poles cut in half. You get about 10m for a tenner:thumb:

Might be a silly question but wont a caravan rail and skirt work? would sure be a better insulation.

I am going to do that. Bloody good idea. We have a huge gap between the wheels and cannot fit an awning rail.

Worth the subscription this one :thumb:

Others do away with the poles and just use the stick on poppers (stud fasteners) and then peg it down. Neater job if you don't mind half a dozen poppers along your van skirt.

Jormax do a free standing one Link Removed I have one and it does the job but it's not cheap. Using the caravan one is a pain to fix if you don't have the rail fitted.

Lilleypad (windblockers) are doing side skirts now, I think they stick on with suction pads, worth a look:thumb:
