Hi,
I need some advice about what sealant to use on the external joints above the cab as the existing sealant is beginning to come away.
My question is:- do I require a specific type or will a good silicone sealant be enough?

Thanks
Ian

Hi you need Cara-seal or Tiger seal :thumb: for that :thumb:Silicon is no good :Eeek: and will not accept paint :thumb: The other 2 you will be able to paint over or if you get white and are good with masking tape you will not need to paint :thumb: It looks like it is only the paint cracking in your pic :thumb:

I avoided saying Sikaflex because it does not stick to plastic very well :Eeek: lets go after a few months :Eeek:Try it on plastic to plastic :winky:Although for most applications it cannot be beaten :thumb:

For information only in case you decide to go that way.

Someone stated some months ago that they had their whole mh done professionally and it cost almost £250 but with guarantee of course. Might be of help when working out cost of the sealant and the small area to pay and have it done.

Thanks, I had thought about that, but for the amount that I need to do it will take 2 tubes at most. £25 maximum :thumb:. So, for an old scrooge like me - no contest ::bigsmile:
