I remember the Bristol free wifi coming out and at the time many UK cities said they were going to follow suit.

In truth, free wifi is a myth but then again, nothing in life is free. Free wifi means that its less expensive than, lets say, buying a dongle.

We stopped overnight in a car park in Torremundo in northern Spain. There was free internet provided by the council. It was located at a small shelter on the seafront with lots of benches in the area and was packed with holiday makers using their laptops & phones.

And paid for by taxpayers, obviously  Would people here tolerate a rise in council tax to pay for free wifi for holidaymakers?
