Has anyone ever fitted a new habitation door seal?

My is going rotten and so I bought a new one..looked esay enough....then I found the little plate at the bottom step that is riveted in place and you can't get at the rivets:cry::cry::cry:

Are you trying to remove the frame?

The door seal should just pop in around the door - No need to remove the frame.

pop up a pic.

I can't do a pic at the mo as the MH is in storage...but...you are right it does just pop in around the door until you get to the step where it is completely covered by a thin metal strip...and it look as if I have to take the whole door frame out to get to the pop rivets holding the strip down...I could just lever the strip up but that would be a real bodge....and it would never sit right again after banging it back down...

Got no vans in at the moment, one coming back tomorrow for two or three hours before going back out - so I will have a look at that one and see if it is similar.:thumb:
