i have found a guy that will sell me genuine replacement kipor generator inverter's for £200 inc vat
is this good or bad??
he says there is no problem with kipor's just the owners try to pull to much current out of them and blow the inverters.

I have an IG2600 in need of a new inverter board, £200 is a good price but would I get £200's worth of use out of it, ever?

your kipor did not die in its sleep it died when you switched it off the last time you used it.
why would he need to tell porky's??
i was not buying a genny off him,i would not plug a kipor into my motorhome.
honda only for me.
cannot understand people that spend tens of thousends on a motorhome and then scimp's on a genarator to save a few hundred £££?????

ok Chris....it may have died when last turned off but it was running my charger.......not my aircon.

so defintely wasnt being overloaded in any way.

why do the makers set the board in resin instead of mounting the board on decent resiliant insulation....makes them impossible to repair....oh yes, they know the quality is so poor and they WILL fail so require a new board at great cost

i'll certainly think twice about cheap (relatively) gennies in future.
