Hi everyone

Just joined and would like to know how to join in with some of you on rallies, meets, holidays, etc anything really. I have an Autotrail Cheyenne and was seriously thinking of selling it because, being on my own and not finding any suitable clubs for single people, it is not being used and therefore there's no point in my keeping it. However, a friend mentioned this site so I thought I would give it a try before making a decision. If anyone on here can enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Hi There

Firstly welcome to fun. If you click on the calendar tab at the top of the page this will let you know what meets are coming up and you would be made most welcome at any of them. I know there are a few solo funsters out there that go to the meets and have real good fun so get yourself along and im sure you wont regret keeping your mh.

Hi everyone

Just joined and would like to know how to join in with some of you on rallies,

Better late than never ! You've missed some good ones but never mind one or two this year will get you motivated for next year.

On the home page look down the right-hand side Meet, Show Rallies. See anything you fancy ? Ilfracombe ? Just click on it and you'll get details, failing good details then look up "SEARCH+", click this and enter ilfracombe to find threads talking about it.

Simples.

And when you get there, don't make the common mistake of sitting there "what do I do now", get out there and talk, we don't bite unless invited to do so. Someone drove all the way to Spain once and sat in their van moaning that no-one came and made a fuss of them, it doesn't work like that, get out of your van and put it about a bit, then you'll get a warm welcome.

Welcome to Fun Mahdeene, there is also on the right hand side of the page the meets/rallies which gives some info also and in the order they are taking place

Please join in everyone is welcome and there are quite a few solo Ladies and Gents who will confirm that it doesnt matter if you are solo or partners as everyone joins in together but if someone wants time to themselves that is good too

There is a meet at Wrenbury.... Cotton Arms which is a lovely place this weekend but entries closes today

All the best
Brian you beat me to it xx

Welcome to the Fun... I am sure you will enjoy it...

I am a single/solo traveller and have been to many meets now although I was reluctant at first. There was no need for me to worry... Funsters took me under their wings and made me very welcome...

These days they line up at meets to feed me... some even try to clean my van for me...:ROFLMAO:

JJ :thumb:

PS. They do leave me in peace if that is what I want... usually morning times and when the mighty City are playing...

Hi there!

I'm a solo camper and have been to the grand total of 2 meets so far :thumb: On each occasion I was made to feel really welcome. Plenty of company available when I wanted it, and I was never pressured into socialising or joining in.

I can't make the Bring & Buy meet due to a prior commitment, but am going to the Western show at Malvern in August.

I found that I got to know other members quickly by joining the quiz on Thursday nights at 8pm in the chat room. :ROFLMAO: It's great fun and not taken too seriously by anyone.

I live in Bristol, and like to visit campsites in the area on most weekends, so if you ever feel like meeting up, send me a message.........

Welcome to the club - hopefully you'll be struck by how friendly funsters are.

It's a two way street JJ you have done the same for others.

Not cleaning the Van of course hush my mouth.

What a marvelous Welcome

Hi Everyone

Thank you all for such a wonderful WELCOME. I am still rather nervous of travelling on my own not being mechanically minded. Always fear the worst happening. Being such an independent woman you might think it a little odd but travelling by car isn't a problem at all. I enjoy driving my Van but have only recently ended an 11 year relationship - hence nervous of driving on my own. Are there any widowers/single/ or fancy free men on this site who wouldn't mind being a sort of 'chaperone' until I get my nerves under control?? Maybe travelling with someone else in another Motorhome would help. Just knowing I would not be alone should something go wrong.
Thanks again everyone
Eve
