Well done.

The serious thing to learn now is Width and Overhang.

You are going to scrape wing mirrors, you are going to get hedges scratching your windows, it's better than hitting an oncoming. Be prepared to haul in your mirrors in places like the Lake District.

Most MHs have a big arse, as you turn, the back end swings out and it's *so* easy to side swipe a petrol pump or car in a car park.

Apart from it's steady FUN.

Hi Motoberg , That initial handover is soon forgotten. The best thing to do is to live in for a day or two. On your drive is best. Use it for everything, washing, cooking, sleeping, etc. Issues will arise, and you will have forgotten how things work. No problem, just get on the internet, head here and ask away. Funsters are a friendly knowledgeable bunch and you will get the answers you need.

Meanwhile, welcome to the Fun :thumb:

howdy
did the same last week, and after a quite stressful 48hrs at the hands of an incompetent dealer (grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) we finally got away in our new home (to be permanent in 3 weeks' time) to test it all out - York and Snainton still intact, great 6 days had, everything checked and confidence boosted!!! Will be off permanently in 3 weeks!
Basically the people on here helped me loads in advance with queries technical and otherwise (got another question for them today) - ASK the stoopid questions, it'll help you before you have time to stumble about! I was that prepped on waste, hoses, hook-up etc that after a week I feel like a seasoned pro now! (just wait till the wheels start wobbling....). Also there's a blog (don't do them as a rule but...) by Ryan n Mel on here that have fab tips on some of these basics - "Do Your Dream" I think it's called - have fun anyway, i've got a different vehicle but would be happy to swap newbie tales with you!
