I'm a newbie
At last I got my first m/h a lovely 1998 Fiat Autocruise Impala in absolute mint condition, 27k on the clock and with just about every conceivable extra there is going, so I’m a very happy bunny, all I need to do now is get a semi air suspension system fitted, anyone know a good place to get it fitted in or around Oxfordshire.

I just had suspension fitted by AS Air Suspension, this puts a controller in the cab so you can control how much air is in the bags, so getting on a ferry you can pump it right up so as not to hit the ramp, You can also pump them independently so you can level the van with them when parked up. I use it when i am towing the 1400kg rally trailer so it keeps my tiny Hymer on the level no matter what the nose weight of the trailer.

AS systems fit most chassis as well as Alko :thumb:

Hi Vince,

I fully agree with Jim with regard to AS Air Suspension, I had their system fitted to my previous m/h ..........made a terriffic improvement in handling.

Cathy & Phil who run the business in the UK are great and will do everything to help.

The only problem is that I think they are away untill the end of June.

I did notice that they had signed up to MHF just before they went away so I'm sure they will do you a good deal.

Hope you enjoy your Autocruise & look forward to meeting sometime.

Best wishes,

Brian

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
Just echoing what has been said, Cathy and Phil apart from being very nice people are very proffesional and did an excellent job on our Autotrail, certainly fitting Air suspension was the best thing we did to the motorhome improved the ride 100%.:thumb:

How much did you pay for your susp?

£799 fitted Though I think you can buy the kit; bags, compressor, switches tubes and cables etc for £600. But don't quote me as I'm not 100% sure about prices and self fitting.

If you have an alko chassis then you have little option go to AS suspension.
