Hi, this is a forum for motorhome enthusiasts, your profile says you don't own one, are you looking to buy a motorhome or do you just want to sell generators?

Shame you do not have a motorhome

Shame you do not have a motorhome:

I think most RV and motorhome owners know where to get good deals on most things these days, either from established members with there own motorhomes who know what works for us or buy there equipment at the many shows we go to.

So interested what you think you can tell us about a subject most know about?

American RV;s mostly have built in factory generators. European motorhomes seem to have a lot of solar power or wind power units.. then a lot have generators they get from the shows at very good prices. A few buy on ebay.

So still interested:Blush:in hearing how you are going to be a poster on the site without a motorhome? or are you considering the outlay to buy one?

Suggest you contact Jim if you want to advertise .. as you can see from the side bars many companies do and pay for there adverts.

Well spotted :winky:, no I have no immeadiate intention of purchasing a motorhome, as much as I would love to they are unfortunatly beyond my financial means at the moment. However, I might have several weekends away in one over the coming months

If you catch me publicly selling generators, feel free to give me a good slap on the wrists. What I do have is a degree of knowledge and expertise in the field which is of far more use being shared than locked away in my head.

By the way I did email admin yesterday to inform them of my status so that I could be branded with the "Trader" mark as stipulated in your rules but as yet I have received no reply.

please you cleared up the issue

As a member (funster) I am pleased to see you cleared up the question which seemed to be in the air.

We do not have a problem (well I do not) with someone not owning an RV or a motorhome. I agree they are very expensive.. but everyone has to start somewhere and who knows one day after you have used one (hired or borrowed) you may get the bug and find the funds to get one. It is a great past time and you make a lot of friends from joining in.

It is always good to be able to ask members about issues in a motorhome, regardless if it is generators or something else.

If you see a post you think you can help in then.. put a post in and see how you get on.

I will welcome you you the site given your response and I am sure Jim will also, as will others .. but if anyone feels you are pushing your wares so to speak I am sure they will let you know.

Anyway welcome

Regards

Firstly welcome to the fun:thumb: Secondly I don't see any more of a problem with having a genny expert on the forum than having a garage proprietor, satellite specialist, solar panel fixer uper or for that matter plumber or joiner.
I can think of at leest 6 members who have problems with there generators at the moment, one of which is one of the administrators who has only a couple of days ago had to take his RV to a Cummins agent for generator repairs,at great cost I would imagine.
Lets try to live and let live,am sure you will be a great asset to the forum and once again welcome.

Hi TandPT,

Welcome to Fun.

I could have done with some of your experienced input a few weeks ago, when struggling with our Electrolux 2.5 Kva Traveller. :winky:

Cheers for now,

Jock.

Onan / Cummins Peterborough very helpful and not expensive

I had need to consult with Onan / Cummins this week over my 4 kw Onan microlight .. lots of free help on the telephone.. very helpful people . Also know one of the RVOC members ..Ben took his in to the them and had a full service and repairs at £150 which is not a bad price considering how much spark plugs and filters cost on the yank generators. I certainly would use a main agent for my winnebago fitted generator.

But those that have the one's with problems may well be able to get help from someone who is an expert.. Looking forward to see how you make out with your quests.

seems like there could be a opportunity to fix a few peoples genies just a thought as i seem to remember there is only only 1 person who sells generators and now one that fixes them, or so i believe so may be worth hiring a motorhome and booking a few shows up ether end this year or booking up for next year think with your knowledge you should be booked up very quick, and of course MHF would get a discount.

The Electrolux Traveller 2.5Kva I mentioned having trouble with above..................is Honda powered. :winky:
And I know of at least two others owners with the same genny, who have had problems.
