Hi and welcome to the site, do we assume you are close to Bournemouth.
what to look out for, well the first thing I would need to know is the price of a replacement windscreen, especially as it is already cracked, could be a few thousand pounds so do check. Duncan of Star spangled Banner may be able to help or on of the other RV specialists. next down the line is rust underneath, and damp inside under carpets around windows, bathroom etc.
Make sure everything works and has been converted to UK speck, lights and light lenses especially. from his feedback it is obvious he is a trader but does not state that on eBay, that is illegal and you would have less consumer rights from a private buyer. remember the date is when first reg in the UK the van itself may be much older. do check this. fuel consumption will be quite high, around 8-10mpg and maybe even less are you sure you need a van this big? Have you someplace to store it. Do you have an HGV license? if not ensure you get it weighed before purchase or you will not be able to drive it could weigh over 7.5 ton quite easily. Any extras, solar panels etc, does the aircon work, try it all out before you buy it. Don't fall for sorry out of gas or no water in the tank, it should have a built in genny check that out as well, all costs chunks of money to fix if not. Jim sells an impressive motorhome checklist that would help as well as a buyers guide.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

my main concern would be the number of previous owners......Number of Previous Owners: 12

if its so good why has it had 12 previous owners....it isnt something you buy, keep a short while then sell.

we dont know your driving licence entitlement, and as Roger said, it may well be over 7.5t and not drivable on a normal car licence.
over 7.5t you need a LGV (cat C) licence.

also, as Roger said, the cost of a replacement screen could be 2 or 3 thousand quid and to be honest i would think it is an MOT fail point, but not 100% sure as its the passenger side.

Just adding to previous comments which I generally agree with..

IMO ..it's had too many owners and it's way over valued..

This is an old bus and may be in need of a lot of work.. parts and servicing are expensive, appliances (fridge, water heater, air con, hot air furnace ) are also costly to repair or replace..
Personally I would look for something younger, with fewer owners and with a full service history .. otherwise you may end up with a money black hole.. Having owned one for five years you need deep pockets .. not only to run but to maintain..

Thanks

Thanks Guys I live on the west side of Oxfordshire so my first port of call is going to be Dudleys in Witney to check the price of the window screen thanks for your pointer on that one. Ive been looking for a Euro type van and this was the first RV ive liked the look of, I have been looking at Fiats with 2.8 Diesels as ive been told there are they are the best engines to go for, I need a 5/6 berth as I will be full timing in it and want a bit of space, plus I have my kids at the weekends and they want to hit the beachs so maybe 10mpg is not a good idea lol.
Thanks again guys for your help.

Hi and :flyingwelcome:All of the above is good advice, I would expect it to do a bit better than 10 to the gallon as it is a diesel but the early 6.2d was prone to Turbo problems, check it out.

All the best Rick

Hi Vince,
If you look at a eruo van why not have a look at a Hobby? twin axle jobs with good layouts creating plenty of room. Good value for money if your looking at something older, on a fiat base, and built to last.

Very nice van thanks for posting it, going on Sunday to look at a Fiat Ducato lwb, the guy has had this van for 8 years and its got everything on it, full history, only 27000 on the clock and its been kept in a barn when not used, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope its as good as the man has told me lol.
Can't wait to get on the road and meet all you guys and gals
