Hi and help!!:Eeek:
just booked ferry crossing Dover-Calais for this August. 2 adults, 3 young children (2 seperate families) we want sites on or very near to beach and dont want to travel more than a couple of hours from port, as only 1 driver. holiday wishes are to have very kid friendly beach hol with loads of cheese and wine and swimming in sea :ROFLMAO: (maybe not in that order) Can anyone suggest any sites/aires or whatever. Any advice gratefully received. cheers, Alf & Claire

Not close to the sea but a brilliant site, very family friendly and (if you book early enough) you can have a private toilet / shower block.

You'll get a taste of France but British weather.

Have you considered sailing to St Malo, then driving 2 hours south into Brittany for an even more French experience ? The whole south Brittany coast is wall to wall holiday with a capitol H. 110 miles or so to Carnac then Proper Job.

Swimming in the sea ? You'd better be tough.
