sorry Jim, I think the day a dislike button comes will be me out of here.

Some people may really take offence to being told what they post is disliked. Its nice to get a thanks and nice to see someone likes what your saying, but some of us are way to sensitive to go for a Dislike button , far better to respond with facts as to why you dislike what someone is trying to say.

Agree with Paul. :thumb:

A dislike would just breed negativity. If you dislike something then you will either ignore it or feel compelled to respond with your own take/ opinion.

Not sure whether your request is slightly tongue in cheek mind. :winky:

I agree totally, on both counts.
If there is something to say.....say it.

Aside from all that has already been said.

The day ScotlandJim doesn't say that he dislikes something...will be the day Hell freezes over, Dealers give motor homes away for free, and the fuel companies offer a 'rollback' to 1988 prices.

We like your input just as it is!:thumb:

negative feedback and comments are as important as positive, a dislike or groan button would help keep a healthy balance. "Thanks" is effectively "Like" so guess that one is superfluous as well. Notifications need to be switched off though or will become a massive pain in the bum, mind you as long as I post nothing anyone like likes I will not get a thanks notification. A real easy way to annoy people though.

How about a button for

"How great Welsh Rugby is compared to the namby pamby girls in white with matching hanbags & Nigel Owens is Great, I love Rhod Gilbert and Prunes"

or

"Was KK and Sundance part of the Great Train Robbery and are part time Lumberjacks"

or

"I'm a Funster get me out of here" Welsh Tourist Board

In my experience it does not. In fact it does the opposite and it's very unhealthy. If you disagree with a post answer it and say why, if you agree then rather than repeat it; you can like it. If you want to thank someone for their input then its easy to do with the thanks.

I will make the notifications optional as soon as I can, i know more than anyone what a pain it is. However IMO the benefit outweighs the inconvenience.

Very much tongue in cheek.. :thumb:

My mum always said " if you have nought to say good about someone say nought ... "

Saying or making negative comments only leads disharmony .. so no, I don't want a dislike button... but sometimes wish there were a tosser one.. :roflmto:

Since we all behave like big kids in here anyway!::bigsmile:

I think, Jim, we should follow the PC regimes implemented in some schools on sports days!

There should be no acknowledgement of success or failure ie. like or dislike button, in case we are psychologically damaged by involvement in activities of a competitive nature or by the views of others!:roflmto:
