If it passed it must still be pretty solid, can you just not treat the rust and the underseal it?

When its booked in next time, say a different test garage does the tester see the old advisories before he tests?

chassis

a common problem with fiat cross members also you might find corrosion on chassis of cab..
As for patented parts im not aware of a cross member being available for this but try fiat directly they might suprise you with the price noot being as expensive as you think..
my 2005 had the same advisary this week so i undersealed the whole front with wax oil. but u can use schultz which is the cheaper option..... i hope this helps..

7 year (25yrs a tugger)
Ebay £40 used. No new ones on at the moment but I've seen them on there at around £80. I've read a report on fitting one and it's not that difficult. I don't believe that testers see previous advisory notes. My Boxer based Autosleeper Symphony had an advisory this year on slight play in wheel bearing. When I came to pay the manager looked at his computer records and commented 'same advisory as last year' which I'd forgotten all about.

I am not sure if it's structural or not BUT it's a substantial chunk of iron
That helps stop a pilock coming into my space if you catch my meaning

Thanks for the replies I am 8 miles from the dreaded dartford crossing.
So will try a local stealer and checking online seen a few on eBay 40 - 80 plus postage it's only 2years since the front was off for a new engine
Good then quick how they go:thumb:
