Had a bit of a shock today as the insurance is due on the RV and the VW camper.Have been insured with Adrian Flux for 11 years with no claims in that time.Have read several postings saying insurance had gone up so was expecting an increase.
The RV came in at £168.30p fully comp with agreed valuation of £18000 with 7000 miles per year and the VW at £213.45 per year fully comp with agreed valuation of £9000 with 10000 miles per year.
Have excepted there quote without bothering to check elsewhere, have I done right.:winky:

Hi
Think your lucky to pay so little. I have a Benimar 6.76m coach built motorhome year 2002. I pay around the 750 euros inc. recovery. When i first bought her in 2004 the cost was 1100 euros. I hadnt checked prior to buying; i was thinking it would be similar to England. How stupid of me.
Wish i could use an English company but Spanish law doesn't allow a Spanish vehicle :winky:to be insured by an outside insurance company.

Result well done, I am dreading seeing where mine will be this year as they are all commercial policies, you know the type loads of cover until you claim, lol

All the best Rick

Hi Snowbird,
We had exactly the same "problem" with Adrian Flux a few weeks ago. I had read the horror stories on here and was expecting the worst. Renewal quote was for almost exactly the same as last year (about the same as your RV) and so we accepted straight away! :thumb:

I don't think it goes by the value of the motorhome or the mileage your going to do,although it says so in your quote.
I've just renewed my insurance for my Swift Kon-tiki 649 £72000 with 8000 miles per year and it cost me £240.43p

... and me. I've just insured with Caravanguard and that was £415 but it includes breakdown/recovery, including European for 8 months of the year, so I'm not really arguing. The breakdown company is AA so at least it is reputable. ::bigsmile:

Loujess I think you should try, when you Insurence/ breakdown is due for renewal, the Caravan Club for your Insurence, and Green Flag for your Breakdown ! My fully comp £170, and Green Flag, with all the bells and whistles, £117. We asked for a quote from Caravan Guard, it came in as £275 just for the Insurence!

AND NO! WE DID NOT GO CHEAP SKATE!

Don't accept what they want to sell you! You tell them, exactly what you want! Insist on it or walk away. That's the secret!
