does anyone know if you can park overnight on Portsmouth ferry terminal?
we're due to leave Portsmouth 11am Sunday, and ideally would like to drive down Sat afternoon and overnight at the ferry terminal.
if not, any ideas?

Thanks, Marie. will be much easier if we can stay on docks overnight rather than looking for a site.
hope all well with you, and you got our PM the other day.

As an alternative you can probably stop over at Port Solent which is just up the road. Park round by the marina on the gravel car park.

If you can't, old-mo posted a nice truck stop place about 10 miles out, it was on The Spanish Jon thread last year. A bit of searching will find it.

It's very easy to stay on the docks - we were surprised how many people were there when we arrived! Quite a few big rv's too. Some were in the queuing lanes and others like us were parked around the edge and joined the queues in the morning.

Yes I got your email - will you make it down here do you think? we're having lovely weather!:thumb::thumb: Tina and John due to arrive about 8th March!

reckon we've made our minds up we'll get to Portsmouth early evening Sat and overnight as suggested.
Stop rubbing it in about nice weather - still getting snow here in Derbyshire.
think we'll probably make our way down to Cabo de Gata first this year, as we never made it last time. maybe then work along the coast eastwards, as we haven't explored that bit much, not doing any long term stays. thought we'd do something a bit different:Smile: remember us to Tina and John, won't you?
if we drive back through France in May, perhaps we can meet up with you en route??
