Currently staying on a pub car park in Shrewsbury for the weekend !!! Free wi-fi in the pub (using it now) shop and Chinese 50 yards away and and Indian curry house attached the pub !!! So, it's football and rugby all weekend with a Chinese tonight, a curry tomorrow and de luxe sausage and mash (home cooked) on Sunday......
Bring it on !!!!

That is..... How well do you know Shrewsbury Salopian?

We are looking for a hotel or lodgings with around 13 rooms (twin and Single) for the weekend 10th to 12th June.... The Light Infantry Weekend....

We had a regular booking at the Bellstone, but the receivers are in.

Any help would be really appreciated.

You could try:

The Lion and Pheasant

The Lord Hill

The Shrewsbury Hotel

The Lion Hotel

The Nags Head (not sure they will have the number of rooms you require, but worth a call.)

These are all within Shrewsbury and local to the Depot

A little out of Shrewsbury is the Mitton and Mermaid, Atcham.

If you require any additional information, the Shropshire Tourist Information website may provide additional locations.

I know Shrewsbury fairly well and have racked my brain on this pub. The only one I can think of with the Chinese, Indian, shop and pub in such close proximity is in Radbrooke Green. I think the pub is called The Radbrooke but not sure about that.

I think its called "The Inn on the Green"

In my earlier post I listed "The Nags Head" this should be "The Bucks Head"
