Hi all I am new to this so please go easy on me...can anyone tell me why the water pump keeps going when the taps are turned of only had the camper 9 weeks.

Sounds like you might have a leak in the system - the pump's dependent on water pressure to operate.

hi and welcome to the site. As already stated you have a drop in pressure someplace, tighten all connections and look for drips, sometimes air gets in without water getting out, but not often.

have looked all over for a leak and cant find one the only way i can stop the pump running is to turn of the power at the control board there is plenty of water in the tank.

Assuming that water runes when you open the tap and there are no leaks it sounds like the pressure switch on the pump is faulty.

What van is it by the way

You will have a leak, probably around the push-fit joins, or unions to taps. Hardest to see will be the sink tap, which usually will pour water behind the cupboard or behind the fridge. Tell tale signs and water on the floor (without you actually spilling any) or if you look at the pilot light viewer inside the fridge, that will be condensated.

Shower taps are easily checked; nest will be the heater cistern/tank. There are a few unions around here - but firstly check that the drain plug is in tight, and the top vent closed outside. Then check the drain inside. Then check the unions for leaks from the tank, to the heater and from there onwards.

do you have air in the system that needs bleeding?
is the water heater drain shut

Hi, could be the diaphragm in the pump- this will let pump run but not pump water, has it frozen up in the recent cold weather? this could cause the pump to freeze and tear the diaphragm when you switch it on.

Hi and welcome.
I had the same problem with a fiamma pump, same symptoms exactly.
No leaks anywhere.
Changed the pump...sorted.

could be a faulty micro switch on one of the taps if it has that system on

some are pressure operated ie you open a tap the water pressure drops then a switch on or near the pump turns on the pump

some have switches under the taps which operate the pump when you turn on the tap

if on the second type the taps will click as you open them so if 1 doesn't click where as the others do that would be the first place to look

although some manufacturers use switched taps on the pressure system so the taps may click anyway.
