Just bought our first motorhome. Dec 2010
Hi

Bought our Bessaccarr in December 2010. We have kept it on EHU during recent cold spell presuming that this would keep the leisure battery fully charged. Went to the van today and the step wouldn't work. phoned dealer who said that we need to get a car battery to charge the leisure battery!!

Is this the case or is there something that we are missing here??

Thanks

Rickyd

if the engine is running your leisure battery will get a charge. check all your switches are in the right position one of my rocker switches was in the wrong position and the leisure battery was not getting a charge on hook up, also the cold can pull the charge out of the battery.

Daft question but did you turn off the EC unit whilst in storage? If so the step will not work with it off nor will your leisure battery charge. If it is on have you checked fuses?
