hi all i have a single exide g85 gel hab battery mounted under the drivers seat
it is ok but i would like a little more power so looking at getting 2 replacement batteries
i don't really want the expense of 2 similar gel batteries.
so i suppose sealed batteries is the safe way as they would both be under the drivers seat i don't really want to relocate them as they would be out of the way under the seat.
now the technical bit i have the schraudt electro block and it has a switch for lead acid / gel batteries is it just a case of disconnect my existing battery and engine battery from the electro block flick this switch then reconnect with the new batteries or is there more to it??

thanks in advance

Can you really fit two batteries under the driver's seat ?

word of caution, watch the height .. !
last thing you want is the seat frame catching the positive battery post ..

may be easier and cheaper to fit one larger ah battery than two 85ah ones.

Also remember they will need venting via breather pipes through the bottom of the box . Some leisure batteries have them.. others don't and are not suitable for enclosed spaces.
