I have left the TV in the motorhome, will cold conditions effect the set.

When I lived in a caravan in Cumbria, the LCD display on the alrm clock would freeze everynight. I had to take it to bed with me to keep it warm, honest

I can believe that,get bloody cold on west coast,wasnt there somthing similar a few years ago with car radios with LCD displays ?? if you lost your serial code after disconnecting the car battery and you put in freezer it displayed serial number?? somthing like that anyway

I would think that the problem is bringing it ---really cold---into the warm, moist air and getting condensation on the sensitive inside electrics ? ? ? ? ? ?

We once bought our son a TV for christmas and hid it in the camper, when we bought it in and plugged it in it had got damp and it went BANG!!!!!!!
