Have a notion to brighten up the "greyness" of my driving zone with a more elegant gear-knob, something chrome and polished wood would look very nice.

Nowt on Fiat Website, Fleabay and googling doe's nothing.

Anyone gone this route or could point me in the right direction.

Stewart,
Try looking on Classic car Websites, there are some beautiful Polished Walnut ones available, supplied with different sized threaded inserts to fit different cars, I have one on my MGB, it's superb.

Oooh,, difficult then I believe.. Not even sure you can swap it
The old ones were just unnscrew and fit new ( I had an ally one with inset LEDs in it.. a bit OTT but fun all the same :Smile: )

Ahh.. If it unscrews then no worries !
The aftermarket ones have rubber inserts so fit pretty much all threads.

Halfrauds would be a good starting place.. take a look to see what tickles your fancy, then shop around for a better price :winky:

Anyone know of any bits to do this?

Stewart,
Agree with above but also worth Googling "Walnut Gear Knob" It throws up loads of options, Europa Spares and Shopmos between them have dozens.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks, for anyone else thinking of changing their gear knob the Fiat Gearbox having a lift reverse restricts choice, the base of the knob must be recessed to allow for this.

Purchased this one on fleabay, fitted in seconds, well pleased for now and cheap enough to discard if I eventually find something better.

Have a Great Christmas ::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Try looking in one of the hot rod mags, I noticed some extentions there a while ago.
