Hi first time posting Can anyone give me any info on swift escape 664 as we are thinking of getting one in near future any info will do Thanks :thumb:

I only know that they were launched early this year as a entry level van and have had great reviews, the only thing I would say is that there will be no extras on them and you will probably have to pay extra for full oven, canopy, bike rack and possibly blown air heating, just have a good look at what you really need and what you get, you could get a fantastic deal on a 18month old van which someone else has paid for all the extra kit for you and they will of had the privilage of sorting out all the snags from a new van

nicklb talks a lot of sense.For the money you'll pay for a new swft escape 664,you could get a "used" van with awning,privacy room,solar power,sat system,lots of extras that will cost you a fortune.whatever you decide happy travelling:thumb:

Have read on another forum that they have light weight chassis and unable to have towbar fitted because of this.

We have just collected our new Escape 664 after 4 happy years of owning an Adria Van M.

Major benefit is the fixed bed combined with short overall length and low profile.

Dealer fitted extras were towbar, bike rack and awning. The whole package looks great and we have already noted the driving position (Fiat) is much better than the Adria (Renault). According to the computer, the mpg was over 40 on the motorway - lets hope it stays good once general use is included. (I would be happy with 25-35 in mixed use)

We have one had it from Apl 10 done 6k miles in it including France.Got ours with the blown air heating. Would I buy it again I would say yes but we had to wait 6 months delivery.
Peter which tow bar have you had fitted?

as Johns Cross says you get a lot for the money In our case we couldn't find the ideal second hand van so bought this new.

Have a great time in it maybe see you on a funsters meet

Hi Curly - thanks for this. looking forward to our first trip

The towbar is a Towtal - motor-home specific, and seems a neat job. It will only be used for the bike (Yamaha TDM 900) but will hopefully add another dimension to our motor-homing

Read this thread with great interest as some good friends of ours own an Escape, can`t believe how this thread started with answers to someone who wanted to know about a motorhome and was quoted a load of nonesense, come on guys if you don`t know the answer best to say nothing rather than give an opinion on which you clearly knew nothing about.

Update - Had our first trip now the weather has improved and no major problems. Much, much more space and comfort than our previous van (Adria van M), and only minor teething snags. Very happy so far.

Not sure which bit of previous posts are nonsense and hope I have not contributed to this. Can you be more specific RnC please? This will help other readers.

ours is Fiamma 2 bike rack, fitted pre delivery by dealer

no problems at all (we had similar on our last van)

Update on this one



1. general - we have thoroughly enjoyed our Escape for the last 2 years although did not use it as much as the last Adria due to injury and lousy weather.

2. design - the design is exactly as we wished and must be one of the most space efficient fixed bed vans on the market

3. quality - built to a price I think but so far so good. Not sure how long the habitaition will last and would welcome any views on future water seepage

4. economy - absolutely brilliant with regular 35 plus m.p.g. (37.2 best average)



5. extras have had camera and extra speakers fitted by Autosoiund - good job done and

6. next steps - probably going to have a Bosch Aerial fitted as the Radio reception is poor while running. Considering cruise control and solar panel. Any views welcome?

Any comments or advice will be welcomed as ever

p.s. The additional speakers (in wardrobe) are brilliant allowing sound to be set specifically in the areas of the van needed (useful to stop annoying any passers -by with Radio 4 blasting oot in't early morning)

Had ours 4 years & 4 months ,no problems whatsoever. Fitted a few extras,
Sat dish, awning, tow. Bar (for toad), 2 110 amp batteries, 2 tv's, Gaslow cylinders, running lights, rear camera, only other thing we may consider would. Be cruise control :thumb::thumb:

Hi, I sold a Swift Lifestyle 664 in September 2018. It was a 62 reg. and had done 35,800 miles, price ...... wait for it £22.500. My husband had died in June and I just wanted to get rid of it as it was a constant reminder of what we could no longer do together ( he had been diagnosed with cancer in March 2018). So to say I did know what I was doing is an understatement!
There may be bargains out there so look for them. If anyone wants to buy a privacy room I have one. It was only used 3 or 4 times and cost, new £600.
