tell me a secret London wild camping site (1 Viewer)

We have plans to go to London and all our previous trips have resulted in many hours of trying to find a quiet wild camping site. We don't want anything special, just somewhere where we can blend in with the district and not be noticed. To be near a tube station would be even better. Any help would be wonderful.

If you put the same question in to google quite a few places come up. Which surprised me.
So did this ,haven't seen it in ages , made me giggle.

There are some lovely wildcamping spots in Epping Forest

nice spots down the road from Chingford station too

We got turfed out of the forest, however if you park up on the road between Theydon Bois green we used to park there regular when still at work, and its near the tube

can always have a word with the royal forest hotel their car park overlooks the forest

Try the sports field car park opposite the Wetland Centre, Barnes.

I've used this a couple of times in the past..................

i can spot theydon bois green on google earth, can you pin point the exact spot that we might camp.

Its a road called Poplar Row and it runs right thru the green:thumb:

or try the village hall car park

The Theydon Bois village hall car park takes a large mobile book van and I have parked my RV there when attending events... no barrier and it is quite most of the time..caretaker not about much. Or a liitle bit up the road towards the roundabout London to Epping Road there are one or two parking places on the right hand side just in to the forest and you may get away with it for a while.

or drop down in to Chingford near the station you will find a few places.. the Chingford line (start opf the line) ... (main line runs in to Liverpool St Station)
