We are looking for a nice site in Derbyshire ( views ) , 5 van type site with electric , walks from the site and if possible walking distance to a village with pub / shop ? is there such a thing ?

Search on Monsal Head ( this week ) and a while ago ksebruce posted on a couple near Ashbourne - so search derbyshire + ksebruce or ashbourne + ksebruce.

Do not look at any other ksebruce posts unless you want to be put off food for weeks.

Windy Harbour at Glossop is the site where Marie & Rex (Penelope Pitstop & Black Five) have their "home" base when not galivanting off to Spain.

If approaching from the north (A628 Woodhead road) it is best to go through Tintwistle & Hadfield rather than use the B6105 (which has some narrow & tight bends).
