Remapping makes the drive much smoother, saves you money on fuel and gives you that extra power when you need it.

Gis a clue who it is ( pm if you like )

I have a really good way of dealing with these forum spammers.. A group of folk around the world who will all send all their holiday snaps at 5 minute intervals until the spammers mail box collapses

Also..........................

Web sites suitably altered by Hackers Inc if they consider it to be fun..

Also, being a paid up member of the google panel, happy to put the company forward to be sandboxed for 3 months ( cannot do it any longer than that sadly )

I have tried :spam: in my tank and can categorically say that it has not improved performance or increased fuel economy one bit.

SPAM jokes aside, the likelyhood of achieving a 30% fuel saving by remapping alone is complete pie in the sky.
10-12%?? Yes, maybe more, but unless there is a significant change to a hypermiling driving style very few, if any would achieve anything like this.

more mpg

Hi there, not a fan of spam, but
have just had my 2.3lt fix it again tomorrow re-mapped and it is great, MPG - tank mpg, not trip computer - is up from average of 30.2 mpg to a fantastic 35.8mpg
Also much more relaxing to drive .
Highly recommended.
Any funsters at this side of the pond want details of someone to carry this out - not just on your motorhome, but on almost any turbo diesel vehicle, send me a pm for details
Regards, Weejohnw

It's refreshing to see an agent tell it as it is.. full marks for honesty .

More power, a more flexible engine = a more relaxing drive .... yes..
but if you use the extra power you must use more fuel.. so I would expect SOME customers experiencing a drop in MPG .. Is this not the case ?

Used to be although along with Corned Beef:spam:

at least corn dog has meat in it ....

A single serving of Spam — two thin slices — contains 30 percent of your daily saturated-fat quota, 31 percent of your sodium, and 13 percent of your cholesterol. If people ate Spam exclusively we'd solve the Social Security crisis in a generation. Nobody would live long enough to collect.:ROFLMAO:

Its no good people like me raising expectations, tell it up front as it is then everyone is happy:Smile:.
Yes, you are right, drive it like you stole it and you will see a drop off in mpg; an ultra ultra gentle driver will see no improvement either as they use none of the extra power and torque.
An experienced driver going along positively and not labouring can expect some nice improvements as the 'weejohnw' proves, but even his excellent result is short of 30%.

Do you have any experience of remapping petrol engines and if so, in particular the Honda 2lt ivtec as fitted to the CRV ?

Remapping of normally aspirated petrol engines doesn't give you much extra power; turbo's are great though. With supercars and performace cars like a VW R32, or BMW 335i a remap is well worth it as it can make is a little more powerful, smoother, more responsive and have a snappier throttle; this applies to family motors too, but in my opinion the smaller improvements really aren't worth the hard cash, for instance my wifes Civic is still standard.

Ah - he didn't say achieving 30%, he said UP TO.

All the scam merchants do this -- UP TO 20Mb BROADBAND -- means maybe 2Mb on a good day.

Don't forget the emag guy. So if I get finetune to sort me out at 30% -Get a thing to clip on me battery another 25% - then add the magnets to my fuel line 35% I just need to save the 10% they say i can get for having a lighter right foot, and hey, thats free RV'ing for me::bigsmile:
