I wonder if anyone can help me with a query I have.

We plan taking the ferry to Santander next Easter and were planning on staying at the port overnight in advance of sailing. I don't know the time of the sailing yet because Brittany Ferries haven't released their timetable beyond March 2011.

I assume that they would be relaxed about overnighting if you arrive after their last sailing. Is that right?

Also are there any toilet facilities that can be used. We do have the van but 4 of us will soon fill it up ...

Out of interest I see from their web site that they will be running a new service from the spring to Bilbao in place of P&O.

I'm sure this was answered recently, do a bit of searching.

Sorry if that is the case. I will have a look.
Cheers

Nothing to be sorry about. I just remember this because we'll be doing the same in Dec, from memory the answer was once the boat leaves they let you park up to wait for the next one. But double check.

Brittany Ferries.

Out Plymouth Santander, Dec, back Santander Portsmouth, Feb. Strange, do they move an empty ship from Portsmouth to Plymouth ???

Cost for 6m x 3m MH £649 return. Cabin both ways.

As I've said in The Spanish Job thread, 1600 miles saved, 6 to 8 days driving and the stopover costs. Gets my vote in the winter.

Hmmm it is the 8mtr bit that kills mine I think ( and to be fair even that is a wee bit understating :winky: )

We regularly do longish runs down to Italy in a day, so I would say for me, 1600 miles would be a comfortable 3 day trip ( a fair few years doing dispatch work seems to have given me a cast iron bum, back and bladder ! )

OK, for a FUN mate, here, borrow this e_chainsaw. Problem solved. Oh, hang about, not quite, here a few rolls of e_duct_tape. Bit less draughty now.

3 days each way - I couldn't be bothered in Dec.

Italy in a day in a MH is some going.

Are you actually thinking of joining Dame Penelope ?
