We are attending the Shepton Mallet show but may stay in the area for the time in between as the Bath meet is so near the following w/e ...can anyone recommend a site that is near a village with a shop or bakery, newspapers etc in walking distance that will take our dogs n trailer ?

JJ did mention a nice site but i have forgotten the name of it :Doh:

Or does anyone know if we can use the Bath meet where the funster's will be sited earlier than Fri?

Is anyone else doing the same I wonder?

thanx Kath

Hi Kath...

You can stay at the Bath Marina Campsite before the meet but I believe it is around £18 a night...

The other site near Bath is Newton Mill... don't know the price of this one...

Hi Cath,

You can try Chew Valley adults only site. There is good walking around the lake and as village with a couple of pubs.

Checked out the Chew Valley one which is fully booked for that week bar the wednesday night looks a really nice place and the lady was very helpful

Looked at Mendip Heights but not enough info for that so........

Have now booked with the Bath Marina , nice lady said we can park in the rally section anywhere when we arrive and then sort with Jim where you want us, as you may have allocated places already for diff sizes etc

twas the best price of all including leccy and had OAP discount too

Jim have paid for Monday to the Friday morn only so not to confuse things

Not long now wahooo !:thumb::thumb::thumb:
