In September we are going to watch our daughter (and lots of other talented youngsters) in the UK School Games in Newcastle.

Does anyone know of any nice sites in the Newcastle Gateshead area.

Thanks

You could try this site. It has good public transport links.

We went to Dewent Park earlier this year, nice site, friendly wardens, good TV and 3G reception, all hardstanding. Tennis courts, Bowls and football pitches on the way out.
Working mens club at the top you are allowed to use. Its in a dip so no views and we couldn't get the satellite to work, don't know about P/T as we had our car

Try St James's Park. There isn't much of any interest going on there. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Public Transport into The Metro Centre at Gateshead and Newcastle upon Tyne from the gate.

This site is next door (just over the river Derwent) to the Gibside National Trust Site. Red Kites were realeased and are breading here.

Nice walks on the old Derwent Valley railway path.
