Get rid of the other half... or better still tell her to get rid of you.???

Can you be a bit more specific.... Do you mean it creaks when you are in it.. or is it creaking as you drive along?

::bigsmile: ok so now we have got over the inuendoes :censored:2- any serious ideas:helpsos: - it is the bed when slept on and turning over makes an awful noise - just wondered if anyone else had similar probs and found a solution before I start ripping bits out and spending money on new bits. Thanks in anticipation :)

Can you tell us do you mean when you are IN it or is it creaking all the time as you drive and go over bumps? My bed creaks when I turn over in it and I would think that is normal but does yours sound like the wood is shrinking or something in cold weather?

I'm going be serious even if no-one else is. Yes, I had a simillar problem. It appeared to be the wooden frame under the mattress. I sprayed every joint (of the frame) with WD40 and it stopped. Worth a try!

Hmnn...Quite a long time really...
You mucky-minded lot!
I think they are very brave for posting in the first place.

I had a similar problem, and after being asked to keep the noise down....
See? Now you've got me at it.
Where was I ? Oh yes....
Rub a candle on all the slats and contact surfaces.

Avoid oils as it will just attract dust.

(Snigger)

Sorry...

Well if you didnt know before how crazy this lot were you do now.

You dont say wether its a fixed bed or one you make up in the dinnette area, if its a fixed bed try fixing extra support lats length ways, some one i know who had a creaky bed did that and it cured it i believe

Well, thanks for replies we have had a laugh as well as getting some ideas for fixing it. It is the fixed bed I.e the sofa that becomes a bed . We're off to new forest area in 10 days so I will let you know how we get on- if you happen to be down that way and hear a creakin 16 yr old Cheyenne just leave us a candle and a can of wd40 on top step.

you forgot to add the silcone spray, might need to add some rubber gloves to , as handling that lot might be messy
