Noisy water pump (1 Viewer)

Just purchased a chausson welcome 76 (09 model) i find the fresh water pump very noisy is this normal for this model .

Shouldn't think so.

I know this is a bit like the TV troubleshooter (No picture - Make sure TV is plugged in and switched on.:Doh:) but maybe there's a bit of an airlock in the pump. Or perhaps it's not bedded on anti-vibrations mounts, or maybe (unlikely, but you never know) the impeller bearing is shot.
Just a few (admittedly not very high tech) thoughts.

We have a Chausson and the water pump makes a right racket. Sounds like a numatic drill :Eeek:. Hubby has re-mounted and insulated around it and this seems to muffle it quite alot.

If it hasn't already got one fit an accumalator, it helps with the pulsing and knocking :thumb:

We have the same model as you, the pump is a bit noisy but not as noisy as the bessie we had before. I know that wont answer your question but ours isn,t to bad at all , as previose replys check its not loose etc. Pete :thumb:

Found the pump located forward of the fresh water tank, as it is situated out side the tank it has to be nosier than the pumps fitted in our previous motorhomes which were submerged in the fresh water tanks ( Hymer & Burstners )
