A tip I read on a yank forum ..

when parked up, protect your blades from the blazing sun with a piece of 15mm foam water pipe insulation ..

It's already slit down it's length, simply cut to length and slide over the blade.. about 95p for a 1 meter length ..

probably more fun ... :winky:

I tried that on the RV but the corks were too short to lift the blades clear... so I had stick two corks together... wish I had thought of the insulation idea

You can also buy ( at great expense ) wiper covers, door mirror and windscreen covers in matching sun blocking UV proof material ...

When we had the R.V. parked up we simply removed the wiper blades and stored them inside the R.V. we do the same with our Hymer. bambi 2

do you also remove the wheels ? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

or would you like another money saving tip :winky:

And there was me thinking there were some dodgy estates up north...when all the time, the kids were being thoughtful and removing wiper blades and wheels to prevent them from perishing!::bigsmile:

To stop them sticking...

One thing wrong with doing this, the corks will just fit down the drain holes in the scuttle on the new shape vans, and block them. :whatthe:

The service manager where I had mine serviced was mystified as to where the wine bottle corks had come from when he found them blocking the drain holes on our MH. :ROFLMAO:
