Have just been asked to put on the board.

Anyone in the Llangollen area camping at the mo make sure you lock all your stuff away securely.

Last night one of our funsters kippor 2kv genny was liberated from its chains and took walkabout. The funster never heard a thing.

So if you are attending this festival and are offered a 2kv yellow genny for a good price, we would like to know with a rough description of person/s if possible.
Also those of you that watch ebay if you see a 2kv genny offered for sale in the llangollen area from today or within a couple of days from now we would like to know.

Might be an idea for everyone with a genny to visibly mark it in some way for ease of identification and to make it less attractive to would be tealeafs.

Just posted this on another thread but put it here as its relevent. I saw a fantastic system of securing a genny last week.

They had a frame type genny with a tow bar hitch welded onto the frame, the hitch was coupled to the van tow bar and locked by one of those really good caravan locks and it had a break wire alarm system fitted as well. Also had a bloody big sign stuck on it saying the alarm would sound if broken and anyone caught trying to steal it would and I quote "Get the living shit beaten out of them"

Not very difficult to do as the hitch just folded back out fo the way for moving etc.

Make sure you get photos of the damaged lock and a crime reference number for the insurers.

Sorry, I know I shouldn't make fun of other people's problems but .....

Surely the fact that the funster 'never heard a thing' should have been enough indication that their Kippor gennie had gone :winky:

It should be easy to find the perpetrators of this crime. Just wander around Llangollen this evening and keep a good look out, clues to look out for are....:ROFLMAO:

Sorry John to hear this has happened, but just shows how valuable these generators are and the lengths these thieving hounds will go to and just when things were starting to go well for you
Dont forget to notify your insurer's and pics of everything

It just goes to show how sought after KIPORS are .I will have to keep a watchfull eye on mine.I only put it out when I need to use it and store it in the Van when not.Thats why KIPORS are so good as when someone is stealing it they have to turn it off and you know straight away that someone is tampering with it.You dont have that feature on a Honda.

if this is RR's genny then can i add its almost unique.

it has one 13amp socket and one 16amp socket...just the same as my 2600 kipor.

i believe kipor dont do a model with mixed plugs so a point to watch out for.

we did a socket swap at wrenbury last year.
