Driving back up from the West coast of France in a few weeks, catching an 8.45am ferry from Calais to Dover, want to stay overnight in Calais any suggestions?

calais parking

you can stay in the booking offices car park, called `terminoux parking` for free, or you can stay on the `aire` at Calais, in the season there is a charge, could find co ordinates and prices if you need them, but just watching tv at the mo, alan:Smile:

Stock answer is the ferry departure parking. Before you get to the ticket booths you'll see loads of parked up vehicles, perfectly legal and OK to stop overnight. Bit noisy.

Ended up staying at Gravelines, what a lovely place and a very interesting village within the walls of an old fort... thanks for the tip..
