Was told about this place by my oldest dearest friend.....Hi Tony in Cornwall :thumb:

Having survived on motorcycles for 40+ years, a few weeks ago I had my first accident that was totally down to me. The combination of having to modify my line on a right-hand corner, a vicious bump in the middle of the corner, and kerbing to my left saw me pitch it into de briar patch - well, nettles actually.....:Sad:

So SWMBO said, let's spend the write-off money and get ourselves another campervan/motorhome.

Our last one was stolen in Rome a few years ago, and we never replaced it. Until now.....!

She found a Transit LWB on an 05 plate for the right money, and apart from an insipid blue interior, it's a good 'un. It needs a few minor things doing to it, like I can't see a leisure battery anywhere, and it has an unusual ZIG-type unit that isn't a ZIG if you get my drift.

The whole shooting match was originally a 9 seater, and has been converted by Auto Sleeper. Pics to follow if anyone is interested.

I'm known as WD on other forums, so why spoil the habits of a lunchtime eh.....!

Just wanted to say I found the leisure battery next to the main bettery under t'drivers seat.
Do they die like ordinary batteries if they discharge too far?

I'm enjoying this site - a veritable goldmine of information and stuff

you got split charge system ?
If not, it's possible the battery is FUBB, as we say in the trade
A discharge test will reveal all..

I think you can edit the post if you are quick and you give a reason for editing.
Not sure what happens if you do log on and off again...
It's all a black art these internetz...
